Marcus Evans, founded in 1983, is a global business intelligence and event marketing company with 49 offices across 20+ countries. We produce 80+ Summits annually worldwide, delivering thought leadership, industry intelligence, and strategic partnerships between buyers and sellers. Our client base includes C-level executives from 98% of Fortune 1000 companies across industries such as healthcare, legal, pharmaceutical, investments, energy, and packaging.

We are seeking an Account Executive to develop new business and manage end-to-end client experiences. This role offers a hands-on mentorship program with a clear promotion path within the first 5 months. We promote exclusively from within and are committed to developing future leaders.

This is an in-person role based in our Chicago office.

Healthcare Portfolio Overview

The Healthcare portfolio is one of the largest within the Summits division and includes events focused on Healthcare CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, CNOs, Long-Term Care leaders, and ACO/Payer stakeholders, with additional specialized healthcare events launching in the near future. This portfolio provides the opportunity to establish yourself within the healthcare industry, engage with senior decision-makers shaping the future of healthcare, and unlock strong leadership growth opportunities for high-performing candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and prospect new leads using ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Contact, qualify, and engage prospects via email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.

  • Negotiate and close contracts with C-level executives by understanding their business goals.

  • Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline tracking in HubSpot.

  • Travel to destination cities nationwide to manage and support client relationships.

  • Represent the company and clients in delivering high-quality products and services.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience: 1+ year of B2B or B2C sales experience.

  • Prospecting & outreach: Cold calling and strategic email campaign experience.

  • Emotional intelligence: Strong listening skills, curiosity, and tactical empathy.

  • Hunter mentality: Drive to close new business.

  • Pipeline management: Strong research, organization, and time management skills.

  • Leadership potential: Desire to grow into leadership through performance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $42,000 base salary + induction bonus + uncapped commission.

  • $60,000–$80,000 OTE in Year 1, with strong performers expected to exceed first-year earnings through continued pipeline growth and performance.
