IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of technical areas including networking, server, and cloud technologies. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT projects and initiatives.

This role will be located on our Mumbai or Hyderabad office whichever is closer to the candidate with an expectation of 3 days a week in office and 2 days working remotely. The role will need to cover European Business Hours. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions using tools to automate and streamline our infrastructure deployment and management processes.

• Administer and maintain our Windows and Ubuntu Server environments, focusing on high availability, optimal performance, and security.

• Demonstrate expertise in networking by configuring and troubleshooting essential networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.

• Manage and configure firewalls and switches from vendors such as HP, Cisco, and Ubiquity to safeguard our network.

• Maintain and optimise Active Directory services, including user management, group policies, and permissions.

• Administer Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, to support collaboration and productivity across the organisation.

• Utilise Azure services for cloud infrastructure management, deployment, and optimisation.

• Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our IT systems.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT projects and initiatives.

• Utilise scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.

• Monitor and maintain backups using Veeam and Arcserve. 

Qualifications

Must-Have

• At least 2 years IT Infrastructure Experience.  

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• A pro-active approach to problem solving, and the ability to identify and implement both short and long-term fixes.

• A solid understanding of virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and familiarity with containerisation and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Ability to implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions to automate and streamline our infrastructure deployment and management processes.

• Experience of configuring and supporting Windows and Ubuntu Server environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

• Demonstrably strong networking skills, including configuration and troubleshooting of DHCP, DNS, VPN, and other networking protocols.

• Experience of configuring firewalls and switches to ensure network security and performance.

• Extensive knowledge of 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.

• At least 2 years’ experience of Azure services for cloud infrastructure management, deployment, and optimisation.

• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Knowledge of backup technologies including Veeam & Arcserve.

• Experience of managing and deploying Intune.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of ITIL Framework

• Experience with Sophos Anti-Virus

• SIEM knowledge

• Microsoft Intune

• MFA tools.
