Curation by marcus evans is an exclusive service for the world's most discerning clientele, focused on delivering access to the most sought-after sports, cultural, and entertainment events.


We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and passionate professionals to join our sports division and sales team as Business Development Executive. You will be reporting directly to the COO of Curation. The role initially is independent with a view to building a high performing sales operation within the next 6 months to support aggressive expansion plans for the business linked but not limited to the Soccer World Cup in 2026 and the growth of F1 in North America.


Working independently and with the support of a Business Development and Research team you will identify, build and maintain a targeted database of High Net Worth Individuals, Business Owners and C-Levels Executives of targeted businesses with in North America. You will lead the collaboration with both marketing and the Internal Business Development teams to execute targeted business development strategies to promote the Curation brand and its products across a variety of channels including but not limited to, direct sales, direct marketing, social and online. In time you will develop a broader team of high performing sales managers within the division in North America to further expand the revenue.


This is an in-person role located in our office in Montreal.


Key Responsibilities


  • Generating and prospecting new leads to create book of business.
  • Contacting, qualifying, and engaging prospects through email, LinkedIn, and cold calling.
  • Negotiating and closing contracts with C-level decision makers and HNW individuals by learning about their growth goals and converting that intelligence into business opportunities.
  • Working with new clients to build long-term relationships.
  • Understanding and positioning the value of premium sports hospitality and entertainment effective to our target market.
  • Travelling to destination events across cities in North America to support client delivery at events including but not limited US Masters, US Open, Soccer World Cup, Ryder Cup, Super Bowl.
  • Collaborating in driving broader marketing and business development initiatives to generate in-bound leads to supplement the outbound business development activities. Working with teams and stakeholders in remote locations across US and Europe.
  • Identify cross promotional and business development opportunities within the broader Marcus Evans group.
  • Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting based on agreed KPIs to communicate performance.
  • Keeping an organized record of sales activity and pipeline within our CRM.
  • Contributing to the broader development and growth of the business by inputting on expansion of the product portfolio across the Sport, Entertainment and Culture sector in North America.
  • Will be using ZoomInfo and internal HubSpot CRM as a profiling tool. Also LinkedIn Sales Navigator for further sales insights.


Qualifications


  • Must have required work documentation to legally work in North America.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or alternatively 3-5 years of sales leadership experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Experience is hospitality will be considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in targeting and selling to HNW individuals will be a distinct advantage.
  • High level of motivation, you need to be a self-starter!
  • Positive attitude at all times.
  • High levels of self-discipline, ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Goal and target driven.
  • Take Initiative.
  • Good time management.
  • Good telephone manner and be able to deliver a strong sales process over the phone to prospects.
  • Strong communication skills, written and spoken specifically when working with remote teams.
  • Other foreign languages are a bonus.


Compensation & Benefits


  • A monthly salary of $3,000 + after a short probation period, an additional monthly salary on account of commission equal to $3,000 per quarter + a generous commissions’ scheme, with potential of 6-figure earnings in year one.
