We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Human Resources Payroll Coordinator. This person will be reporting to both the Finance Director and the Managing Director, Global Talent Acquisition & Development.
This is an in-person role located in our office in Montreal.
Key Responsibilities
Complete hiring and onboarding tasks for all new employees, including creating and sending contracts and I-9 verification.
Create profiles and update all personal information in payroll software (ADP) as well as marcusevans network platform
Conduct new hire orientation and training including: New hire training, building tours and ADP training.
Maintain digital and physical files for each employee.
Complete file audits as required by law.
Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
Analyze payroll data and generate reports as needed.
Work with the Directors to update outdated policies and procedures and increase the capacity to adopt new technologies and methods.
Monitor and regulate attendance through ADP.
Periodic evaluation of the performance of the employees so that managers can understand their progress and minimize their shortcomings.
Enroll employees in benefit programs.
Support employee retention support activities.
Complete terminations, termination letters and Exit interviews.
Complete all job verifications and state mandated documents for HR including Child support, garnishments request etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resource administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related.
One to two years of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties.
Familiarity with ADP.
Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures in multiple states (Illinois, New York, Connecticut, California, Florida, Michigan).
Proficient in Excel.
Understand, interpret, explain and apply Human Resource policies and procedures and applicable local, state and federal legislation and regulations.
Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with complex and confidential human resource issues and employee situations.
Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
