We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and passionate professional to join our team as a Lead AV Technician running our onsite AV team at our European summits held mostly in Switzerland and Germany, with occasional support required for events in the United States. In this role you will be reporting to the Technical Director of Event Production based in Cyprus.

This is an in-person role based in our Nicosia office.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and technical requirements, providing technical advice and solutions as required.

  • Lead and oversee the setup, operation, and dismantling of AV equipment and kits for international events, ensuring seamless execution of audio, video, lighting, staging, signage, and operational elements.

  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AV setup, operation, and dismantling to maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality across all events.

  • Manage external technicians, ensuring adherence to event requirements and timelines while delivering high-quality services.

  • Ensure that inventory is handled, stored, tested, and maintained meticulously to maximize equipment performance.

  • Assist with logistics, storage, and transportation for international event locations.

  • Work closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and venue staff to integrate AV services seamlessly into event production and logistics, adhering to health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Offer onsite technical support throughout events, including setup, operation, dismantling, and troubleshooting of AV and IT equipment.

  • Adhere to company policies and standards for quality and professionalism, contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • EU passport-holder/ eligible to work in Cyprus and travel to Europe.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sound Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Multimedia Production, or related field.

  • A high level of English language - both written and verbal.

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 3-5 years of experience as an AV Technician within a rental company or event venue.

  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating LED screens in live event environments is a definite advantage.

  • Familiarity with LED processing systems, including NovaStar VX1000 and NovaStar TB60 processors is an advantage.

  • Flexibility to travel regularly to Europe and also occasionally to the US.

  • Proficient in programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS office tools.

  • A proven ability to collaborate effectively with staff and colleagues in a diverse environment.

  • An ability to maintain a positive mindset and execute under pressure.

  • Strong organizational skills.
