We are seeking a Principal – Executive Search & Leadership Acquisition to join our Strategic Talent function. In this role, you will identify senior leaders, build market intelligence, and engage in high-level conversations to support leadership in evaluating talent, partnerships, and growth opportunities. This is an in-office role based in our Hyderabad office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep market mapping across industries to identify relevant companies, leadership teams, and emerging players

  • Build structured industry intelligence including business models, competitive positioning, and growth dynamics

  • Identify and engage senior executives (CXO / Director / VP level) through targeted outreach and high-quality conversations

  • Lead exploratory discussions to understand leadership capability, organisational context, and market signals

  • Develop candidate and market briefs (dossiers) that synthesize insights into clear, decision-oriented inputs for leadership

  • Support early-stage evaluation of hiring, partnership, or expansion opportunities, including qualitative due diligence

  • Own the progression of selected candidates from initial engagement through to offer stage, where relevant, in alignment with leadership priorities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape, define, and refine leadership roles based on market insights and candidate interactions

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-potential individuals and relationships over time

  • Contribute to business discussions and internal strategy conversations by linking market insights to potential opportunities

  • Represent Marcus Evans professionally in external engagements with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 8–15+ years of experience in:

    • Executive search (retained search preferred), or

    • Strategy consulting, or

    • Leadership advisory / market intelligence roles

  • Experience engaging with CXOs, founders, or senior business leaders

  • Strong ability to analyze industries, companies, and leadership structures

  • Experience translating research and conversations into structured insights or briefs

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to operate independently in a high-impact environment where scope and opportunities evolve with the business

Preferred:

  • Experience in retained executive search firms or advisory environments

  • Exposure to multiple industries or global markets

  • Prior entrepreneurial or business-building experience
