We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Tester with a strong background in test automation and excellent communication. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and providing exceptional support to our end-users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards and drive continuous improvement in our development processes. This is a position for one of our offices in India.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on technical and business requirements.
Perform both manual and automated testing to validate product functionality, usability, and performance.
Log and track issues using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and operations teams to resolve bugs and ensure high-quality releases.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
Review technical and functional documentation for clarity and completeness.
Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA input during sprint planning and design.
Communicate testing progress, results, and issues effectively to cross-functional teams and management.
Prepare quality metrics, dashboards, and testing reports for key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field.
Strong proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for test automation.
Solid understanding of QA/QC methodologies and best practices.
Strong communication and documentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must have skills
1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a software development/IT environment.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, software testing lifecycle, and defect lifecycle.
Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Familiarity with JUnit testing framework or other frameworks.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with automated testing tools for eg: Selenium, TestNG, Cypress.
Exposure to performance or security testing.
