Sales Representative - Language Training (B2B)

  • On-site
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • Teaching (Linguarama)

Job description

Linguarama is part of a long-established international language training network, working with corporate clients and some B2C clients across Europe and beyond. In the Netherlands, you'll work in a small team with direct lines to decision-makers, backed by the resources and reputation of a global organisation.

As Sales Representative at Linguarama, you'll be the person companies and individuals turn to when they need to communicate confidently in a new language. You'll diagnose real learning needs, design the right programme, and build relationships that often last for years — not just for one sale.

This is an in-person role based in our office in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the need: Meet with individuals and corporate teams to identify their language goals — from a single employee preparing for an international posting to a company-wide rollout.

  • Design the right solution: Recommend and put together training programmes, from intensive immersion courses to ongoing business language training.

  • Build the pipeline: Proactively approach new prospects and nurture relationships with existing clients over time.

  • Close the deal: Draft, send, and follow up on quotations, and negotiate contracts through to signature.

  • Read the market: Track trends and spot opportunities in the education and language-services sector, and feed those insights back into how Linguarama positions itself.

Qualification

  • A completed MBO/HBO qualification, ideally in Commercial Economics, Business Administration, or Language & Communication Studies.

  • 2–3 years of demonstrable sales or account management experience — ideally in education, HR services, or another B2B services environment.

  • Excellent Dutch and English, spoken and written; additional languages are a strong plus.

  • Strong communication and persuasion skills, a genuine commercial drive, empathy, and a real affinity for language and culture.

  • A team player with a strong sense of ownership over your own results.

Compensation & Benefits

  • A competitive base salary ranging from €3300 to € 3800 per month(based on experience) plus an attractive bonus structure.

  • Pension scheme and travel allowance.

  • 26 vacation days.

  • Thorough onboarding and ongoing development — including access to language and sales training.

  • A dynamic, small-team environment with room for initiative, and hybrid working in due course.

  • The stability and resources of a large international organisation, with the pace and visibility of a small local team.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.
