We are seeking a dynamic and sales-driven Direct Email Marketing Executive to take charge of email marketing initiatives that directly generate leads and close delegate sales for a portfolio of B2B conferences. This role is all about attracting top-tier professional delegates and converting interest into paid registrations via strategic, persuasive, and data-informed email campaigns. If you have a passion for writing copy that sells, a commitment to optimizing for direct sales, and proven experience managing the email lifecycle to exceed sales goals, this is the role for you.
This is an in-person role located in our Kuala Lumpur office.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business development for delegate acquisition by using email marketing to prospect new leads, qualify interest, and build a robust sales pipeline.
Grow delegate revenue by crafting targeted email marketing strategies and sales-oriented content that effectively converts interest into confirmed delegate sales.
Develop & Implement Email Marketing Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with conference objectives, focusing on delegate acquisition, lead nurturing, and engagement across the event lifecycle.
Craft High-Converting Email Campaigns: Conceptualise, write, and build engaging and persuasive email content (e.g., invitations, speaker announcements, early bird offers, automated nurture sequences) tailored to senior B2B audiences.
Execute & Manage Campaigns: Oversee the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including list segmentation, A/B testing, deployment using our Email Service Provider/Marketing Automation platform (e.g., HubSpot).
Drive Paid Delegate Acquisition & Conversions: Focus intensely on direct response metrics, optimizing campaigns to maximize lead generation, paid delegate conversions, and overall ROI from the email channel.
Lead & Database Management: Manage and grow our B2B contact database, ensuring data integrity, targeted segmentation for personalized messaging.
Analyze Performance & Optimize: Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on key email performance indicators (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribes, revenue generated). Translate data into actionable insights for ongoing campaign improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with conference producers, marketing colleagues, marketing research teams, to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaign strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in a direct email marketing role, ideally within the B2B sector, events, or conference industry.
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive messaging for a professional B2B audience.
Strong sales skills with experience in effectively moving leads through the sales funnel to become paying customers.
Analytical skills with proficiency in A/B testing methodologies, email analytics interpretation, and data-driven decision-making.
Results-oriented mindset with a keen focus on achieving and exceeding delegate acquisition targets.
Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple conference campaigns simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive, independent worker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
